WHEN AND WHERE YOU NEED THEM

The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) regulations is, if your fire alarm systems are impaired for greater than 4 hours in a 24-hour period and /or your water-based system is impaired for more than a 10 hour timeframe, fire watch services are required.

Generally Businesses, Property Owner, Commercial Properties and Residential facilities required to retain fire watch service. If your building's fire alarm system or a water-based fire protection system such as a sprinkler system is inoperative, you are required by Law to hire a person or persons assigned to a particular area in order to notify the fire department, building occupants, or both of them of an emergency; to prevent fires; to extinguish small fires; or to protect the public from fire or life safety hazards. Our guards are trained for fire watch duty. Our guards will familiarize themselves with your facility and continuously patrol the entire premises for the purpose of detecting fires and transmitting an immediate alarm to the Fire Department and building occupants.

Our guards will login in the fire watch log every half hour as required by the fire marshal. The fire log will be kept at the property for management and fire marshal for review. Patrol required at least once every 15 minutes if the facility has people sleeping, is an institutional facility, or is an occupied assembly facility. If vacant than: Patrols are required every 30 minutes for all other facilities.

We offer the following services for fire watch:

• Performing patrolling and monitoring services prone to fires.
• Make reports as instructed. A written record of patrol in a fire log book .
• Patrol the designated areas
• Be thoroughly familiar with the area the fire marshal designated as fire hazard
• Guard will remain on duty until his properly relieved
• Check and Report hazards to management
